Welcome to Sixth Form

Townley Grammar School warmly invites you to join us for our Sixth Form Information Evening; which is an opportunity for prospective students to gather information about the Sixth Form and what is offered.
Each session includes a talk by the Acting Headteacher followed by the opportunity to visit subject areas. Ambassadors and staff will be available throughout the evening to answer any questions. Please arrive 15 minutes before your allocated session.
You must book a place if you would like to attend this event; each person attending must have a “ticket”, and tickets are limited to two per household. All students must be accompanied by an adult who is either a parent or guardian (they must also hold a ticket). If anybody has any difficulty attending the event with these restrictions, please email: admin@townleygrammar.org.uk for the attention of Mr Rouse.

Welcome to Townley Grammar School Sixth Form
Townley Grammar School Sixth Form is a vibrant, friendly, co-ed, high achieving and diverse learning community that fosters academic excellence alongside emotional and physical confidence. It is our aim to create inspirational learners who have the courage to take risks and the wisdom to learn from their mistakes.
We want our students to develop as independent, caring and creative young adults with a strong sense of social responsibility and conscience. Students at Townley are friendly and supportive of one another, keen to make the most of the wide variety of opportunities that are available to them and to lead or contribute to the wider life of the school as well as acting as role models to the younger years.
With a large Sixth Form of around five hundred students, we are able to offer a wide range of subjects, but one of the things we are most proud about is our focus on not only providing the students with a first-class academic experience but also exceptional pastoral provision. We value all of our students as individuals and their welfare is a key priority.
We focus on providing our students with a bespoke and personalised education which has been further enhanced by our different programmes of study. We want students to go beyond the formal curriculum and be passionate about the opportunities offered to them as they prepare for their post-18 routes.
