In January, we held our annual Oxbridge evening for Year 11 and Year 12 parents and students, to provide a holistic view of applying to Oxford and Cambridge universities.

Mr Rouse, Head of Sixth Form, detailed the supportive programme in place at Townley for potential Oxbridge applicants, the Oxbridge application timeline, and next steps for both Year 11 and Year 12 on how to prepare for Oxbridge applications. He was joined by Outreach Officers from Mansfield College, Oxford and Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge, who covered preparing to apply, the application process, how to choose a college, admissions tests and interviews.

In addition, we had two of our alumnae from Cambridge University studying Human, Social, and Political Sciences, and one studying Law. They shared their personal insights into the application process, choosing a college, the interview process, and university life at this most prestigious university.
