Open Evening
New Year 7 Students

Open evening cancelled. Due to extreme weather (heat) we have had to cancel our Open Evening on 24.06.2026

Dear Parent/Carer,

We are writing to inform you of an important update regarding our scheduled Open Evening tomorrow 24th June. As you are likely aware, an official red weather warning has been issued for our area during the timeframe of the event.

The health, safety, and well-being of our prospective families, current students, and staff remains our absolute priority. With nearly 1,500 visitors projected to be on-site, the severe weather poses too high a risk to proceed. Therefore, we have taken the necessary decision to cancel tomorrow's event.

Please accept our sincere apologies for this short-notice cancellation and for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause.

While we are unable to reschedule the evening event, we are delighted to invite you to our upcoming autumn events instead. We have scheduled an extensive range of Open Mornings and Small Group Tours for October:

Open Mornings and Afternoons
These sessions offer a wonderful opportunity to hear from our Headteacher, and meet the Senior Leadership Team as well as our inspiring school prefects. This will be followed by a guided tour of our subject departments. Throughout the event staff and student ambassadors will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Open Mornings (9:00am – 11:30am)

  • Wednesday, 7th October
  • Thursday, 8th October
  • Monday, 12th October
  • Wednesday, 14th October

Open Afternoons (1:30pm – 3:30pm)

  • Thursday, 8th October
  • Wednesday, 14th October

Small Group Tours (Available at 9:00am and 1:45pm)
If you would prefer a more intimate group tour, these sessions allow you to see our school in action during a standard school day.

  • Tuesday, 6th October
  • Friday, 9th October
  • Tuesday, 13th October
  • Thursday, 15th October
  • Friday, 16th October

Bookings for all of the October events above will officially open on Monday, 1st September 2026 at 9:00am via our school website. We highly recommend booking early to secure your preferred date and time slot.

Once again, please accept our sincerest apologies for tomorrow's cancellation. We thank you for your understanding and support in keeping our community safe, and we very much look forward to welcoming you and your child to our school in October.

This event is exclusively for current Year 5 students for entry in 2027

Our Open Evening event is an opportunity for prospective students to visit the school and gather information about what we have to offer.

Each session includes a 30 minute talk by the Headteacher and students, followed by the opportunity to have a full tour of the school to visit different subject areas. Ambassadors and staff will be around all evening to answer any questions.

Three sessions are available:

  1. 5:00 PM - Headteacher Talk (30 minutes), followed by a tour of the school
  2. 6:00 PM - Headteacher Talk (30 minutes), followed by a tour of the school
  3. 7:00 PM - Headteacher Talk (30 minutes), followed by a tour of the school
