Mobile Phones – On Site, Out of Site

no mobile phones, new UK government law - On Site, Out of Sight.

Mobile Phones - New UK Government Law, Monday 29th June 2026

We have an important reminder regarding mobile phones. Starting today, new government laws mean that schools must be completely phone-free environments.

As a reminder, our rule here is 'On Site, Out of Sight.' This means from the moment you walk through the school gates; your phone must be switched off and inside your bag. This includes during lessons, when changing classes, and during break and lunch times.

To be very clear: any mobile phones seen or heard on school grounds will be confiscated immediately. For Sixth Form students only: You are permitted to use your phones inside the Sixth Form Common Room. However, the moment you step outside of that room, the same rules apply to you: phones must be switched off and in your bags.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our school a positive place to learn.
