Young Carers in Bexley

March Newsletter

Bexley Young Carers (BYC) is a service for those residing in the borough of Bexley aged 8-18yrs who provide physical or emotional care, support or supervision to a family member with: a long-term illness, disability including neurodiversity, mental health illness or substance misuse issue.

BYC works with schools, communities, statutory and voluntary agencies to identify hidden and hard to reach Young Carers and offers free awareness training and information to all professionals. If your family is receiving support from services such as Early Help, please ensure that you make them aware that your child is registered with us and ask that they get in touch.

March Bexley Young Carers Newsletter is now online to read and the March issue has loads of really helpful advice, links to free workshops and support groups, plus info on how to obtain a carers card, which gives discounts at many big retailers!
