Post Examinations Service
What are Post Results Services?
Post-Results Services (PRS) offer students the opportunity to review or appeal their exam results if they believe there has been an error. Please speak to a subject teacher or the exams office before requesting a post results service.
These services are available for GCSE and A Level.
Services Available
Access to Scripts
- Receive a copy of your marked exam paper.
- Fees apply
Review of Marking (RoM)
- A senior examiner will check if marking followed the correct procedures.
- Marks can go up, down, or stay the same.
- Fees apply (refunded if grade changes).
Priority Review of Marking
- •Only for students applying to university this year.
- Fast-tracked to meet university deadlines.
- Fees apply (refunded if grade changes).
Clerical Re-check
• Exam board will check all parts of the script has been marked
• Totalling marks check
• Fees apply (refunded if grade changes).
Candidate Consent
All of the above services require candidate’s consent. This is because your original mark can be lowered, raised or remain the same. If the mark is lowered then the overall grade can also be lowered.
Your signature will be required to show that you understand the full implications of Review of Results request.

Private Candidates
We accept private candidates on an individual basis at the Examinations Officers discretion. Please email your request and our examinations officer will be in contact, to discuss your requirements.
Collecting Certificates
If you are unable to collect your results, you can nominate someone to collect on your behalf.
Please email examinations@townleygrammar.org.uk by Monday 8th July giving your nominated person written permission to collect your results pack. They must show photo ID at collection.
Collection times:
Tuesdays and Thursdays, term time only between 2 pm and 4:30 pm.
Certificates can only be collected by the owner. If you are unable to collect yourself, you are able to nominate someone to collect on your behalf. Please give your nominated person written permission.
