Dear Parents and Carers,

Yesterday marked the first morning of our new mobile phone pouch system for Years 7–11, and I am pleased to share that everything ran very smoothly.

Please note that all students should have been issued with a pouch, regardless of whether they bring a phone to school. If your daughter does not bring a mobile phone to school at all, please could you inform us so that we can provide her with a pass to show at the school gates instead. You can notify us by emailing Mrs Garcia-Bonilla at MgarciaBonilla@townleygrammar.org.uk. Should this change in the future and your daughter begins bringing a phone to school, please let us know immediately so we can update our records and ensure her phone is locked away in her pouch each day alongside her peers. Please could you let us know by the end of the day on Friday 11th September.

As a quick reminder, we have temporarily introduced staggered finish times at the end of the day while students get used to the new unlocking system. Please note, that if a student accidentally locks her pouch with her phone in it having already left school, they still have access to one of the unlocking stations on the outside post by the staff car park.

The staggered end times are:

Mondays

• Year 7: 2:20 pm
• Years 8 & 9: 2:25 pm
• Years 10 & 11: 2:30 pm

Tuesday to Friday

• Year 7: 3:15 pm
• Years 8 & 9: 3:20 pm
• Years 10 & 11: 3:25 pm
