Cultural Day - Wednesday 15th July
We have our second whole school Cultural Day of the year on Wednesday 15th July. Cultural Days are an opportunity for our school to celebrate and share the diversity that exists within our community. Students will have the opportunity to wear clothing that represents and reflects their culture. It is a fantastic opportunity to share more about who we are.
As part of the day, we will have a cultural celebration event at lunchtime where students can showcase their cultural dress. This will be for Year 7-10 in the hall.
Free School Meals and Pupil Premium
All parents/ carers have been sent a letter in relation to this via Arbor. Please read the letter carefully. Those at present in receipt of FSM have been sent an additional letter.
Operation Speak Safe
Operation Speak Safe is a Met Police initiative dedicated to making our community safer for your children. Through an anonymous, straightforward, and student-friendly online survey, Operation Speak Safe empowers young people to identify public areas where they feel unsafe and report concerning behaviours.
By combining this direct feedback with partner intelligence, local authorities and police can effectively visualise high-risk areas, prioritise community-led interventions, and build a clearer picture of emerging criminality to prevent harm against young people. Crucially, this platform ensures they capture voices from diverse groups that are sometimes missed, allowing them to implement supportive, community-first solutions before relying on enforcement.
We encourage you to talk to your children about this platform and invite them to share their experiences. Reporting is entirely anonymous and can be completed at https://speaksafe.co.uk/
Kind regards,
Miss S Totty
Headteacher
