Blueprint for the future: thinking like an Architect.
In early April, Year 10 Urban Classroom students took part in a career-focused architectural workshop delivered by Hawkins\Brown architects. The session was held as part of the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) Ambassadors Schools Programme.
Hawkins\Brown led a design session aimed at introducing students to the profession. The workshop provided a hands-on look at the architectural process, including drawing, model making, designing to a brief, and verbal presentation. Students explored core concepts such as scale, form, function, material, and structure, using real-life buildings as inspiration.
To conclude the workshop, the student groups delivered impressive presentations detailing their design ideas and critical and creative thinking.
