Cultural Day - Tuesday 15th July
We have our second whole school Cultural Day of the year on Tuesday 15th July. Cultural Days are an opportunity for our school to celebrate and share the diversity that exists within our community. Students will have the opportunity to wear clothing that represents and reflects their culture. It is a fantastic opportunity to share more about who we are.
As part of the day, we will have a cultural celebration event at lunchtime where students can showcase their cultural dress. This will be for Year 7-10 in the hall, as Years 11-13 had their Cultural Day earlier in the year. Please find attached the poster from the Equity Team.
Important Notice from the School Nurse - Student Medications
Please be advised that all student medications currently stored in the medical room, including AAI's (EpiPens) and asthma pumps, will be sent home with your children next week, between 14th July and 18th July. Please ask your child to come to the medical room to collect their medication at the end of one of the school days next week.
Emergency medications will be sent home on the very last day of term.
We kindly request that you check the expiry dates of all medications over the holidays. Please only send medications back to school if your child still requires them. When returning medications, they should be in their original boxes, clearly labelled with your child's details. Remember to double-check the expiry date before sending them in. No medications including AAI's will be accepted back to school if expired.
As a reminder, the school maintains an emergency asthma pump on-site at all times. We also have four emergency EpiPens located in various areas around the school for immediate use in an emergency, and two additional EpiPens and asthma pumps that are always taken on school trips.
Thank you for your cooperation.
