National Teacher Awards
We are delighted to share that four of our staff were recognised in the Pearson National Teaching Awards for 2025. We thank them for their outstanding contributions to the Townley community and celebrate the dedication of all our teachers and support staff.  Please see the website here for the article.

What Parents Need to Know about: YouTube Kids
YouTube Kids is designed to be the safer cousin of the regular YouTube app; however, built-in risks continue to pose concerns. From targeted advertising to addictive design, there’s more going on behind the scenes than many realise. Please see the attached guide for a breakdown. Whether it’s inappropriate content slipping past filters or tech-savvy children bypassing parental settings, YouTube Kids still needs careful oversight.

New Youth Hubs in Sidcup and Thamesmead
Bexley have just opened two new locations for young people to come along and join in activities and have a social space that is safe, along with healthy messaging from staff about all relevant subjects. Please see the attached flyers for more details. Venues: Thamesmead or Albany Park

The service runs a weekly drop-in at Central Library, every Tuesday from 12 - 4.30pm, where people of all ages can come for free advice, condoms, STI self-testing kits and signposting. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

Youth Cafe Open Mic Night
The Hub Open Mic Night will take place on Friday 11th July, from 7pm, at the Rooted Coffee House, Blackfen Community Library. Performers in Years 7-11 who would like to take part, please book in via the attached flyer!
