Dear Parents, Carers and Students,
Warm Weather School Uniform Change - week beginning Monday 16th June
Due to the high temperatures that are forecast for next week, please note that school blazers will not be required in school.
Reminder - Open Evening - Wednesday 2nd July 2025 - Early Finish and Late Start
We will be holding our annual Open Evening for Prospective Year 7 students on Wednesday 2nd July. To be able to ensure that we are ready for the evening we will have an early finish on this day - school will finish at 2.35pm. With a large proportion of the school community taking part and showcasing the school we will also have a late start on Thursday 3rd July. Students are to be in school for 10am when our am register will be taken. Please note that we will inform bus services of these changes.
Ambit Extracurricular 12-week Courses - September 2025 – December 2025
We are delighted to showcase the AMBIT extracurricular activities for the autumn 2025 term. Working with external providers, clubs will take place at Townley on Monday afternoons from 2.45pm to 3.45pm. Please see the attached schedule for course information. Bookings can be made via the link on the schedule – deadline is midnight on 30th June.
Catering Survey – A message from Caterlink
As your catering provider at Townley, we value feedback from all stakeholders to help us improve the service we provide to you and your children. This term we are completing a Parent/Guardian survey on the meal provision we provide and we encourage you to complete it here. The survey will close on 31stJuly.

Open Weekend for 11+ at Sidcup/Bexleyheath Better Gym
Better Gym have an open weekend coming up on 19th and 20th July and have invited students to get involved! There are specific slots for juniors (11-16) over the two days which are completely free of charge. This could be a great introduction into the gym or a chance to try something new and take the right steps towards building long term fitness. There will also be junior strength and conditioning classes if students are not confident with what to do in the gym by themselves. Booking is essential to secure a place – please see their website for more details.
New Youth HUBs for Sidcup and Thamesmead
Bexley have just opened two new locations for young people to come along, take part in activities, and have a social space that is safe, along with healthy messaging from staff about all relevant subjects. Please see the attached flyers for full details - Sidcup and Thamesmead.
