Dear Parents, Carers and Students, 

Social Media

We have recently received a Whisper Tool with concerns about the content of a staff member's social media account. Following a thorough investigation into this, we can conclude that the account in question is held by a member of the public who happens to have the same name as a staff member at Townley. This account has been reported for inappropriate content. To confirm, the member of staff mentioned in the Whisper Tool has not at any stage posted anything inappropriate on their account. 

Students should be aware that there may always be members of the global public with the same names as staff so should not jump to negative conclusions but are right to bring concerns forward if they have them. Parents, carers and students should also know that staff receive annual training on safeguarding matters relating to social media accounts. 

Christmas Carol Service - Thursday 14^th December at 7 pm 

We invite you to join us for the evening service at Christ Church, Broadway, Bexleyheath on 14th December at 7pm. 

End of term arrangements – Wednesday 20^th December 

A reminder that the last day of term for students is Wednesday 20^th December. This will be an Own Clothes Day, with donations to the British Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders. 

Normal timetabled lessons will take place in the morning but students will finish early on the day. There will be a shortened lunch break, with a limited service of hot and cold food available. Students with free school meals will still have the opportunity to purchase a meal, either at break or the shortened lunch.

Students will return for the Spring Term on Monday 8^th January 2024.
